Would my wireless Internet network interfere with the wireless alarm?
Your wireless alarm will utilise a dedicated narrow band radio channel, which is exclusive for the security industry and as such unlikely to receive interference from your wireless Internet connection.
How long do the batteries last in the sensors and other devices?
All remote devices are powered by Lithium batteries and have an anticipate life of around 3 years.

CCTV is useful in home security to monitor and protect your house and grounds. CCTV can act as a visible deterrent against theft and vandalism. CCTV can also help to protect your business and staff, and CCTV footage can be invaluable in the identification and prosecution in criminal cases.
What are the features of a CCTV system?
The principal features are monitoring and recording. CCTV monitoring is the real time viewing of images from the cameras sent to one or more monitors. CCTV recording is the process of recording and storing of images from the cameras sent to a VCR, Digital Video Recorder (DVR) or Computer.
How do I choose the right CCTV?
The choice of a CCTV system will depend on your needs and your budget. You would need to consider the cameras and recording media suitable to your requirements.

Can CCTV cameras see and record in the dark?
IR Cameras and Day/Night cameras are capable of seeing in the dark at monochrome mode and these images can be recorded in the same way as daylight images

I’ve heard of Monitored alarms, but can I have a house alarm that is not monitored?
YES. You have other options such as Bells Only Alarm which makes audible noises to deter intruders or alert the neighbours of a break in. It is also possible for your house alarm to send messages to your mobile phone via its onboard communicator or a dedicated dialler.
Would I be able to set my burglar alarm for both day and night?
YES. Your alarm allows for full setting, part setting and night setting. Typically, at night setting, you are free to move around at some area of your home such as upstairs whilst the ground floor is alarmed.
How long will it take to install my alarm?
It takes between 6 and 8 hours to install a standard intruder alarm system in a house.
What about my Pets?
Through careful system design and professional installation, intruder alarms can be installed in homes with Pets very effectively. Pet friendly sensors are also available on many alarm systems.
Can I add extra sensors to my alarm package?
YES. Extra sensors can be added to your alarm package if required; at additional costs.
Do you offer any guarantee on the alarm system?
We provide 12 months minimum guarantee on Alarm Systems supplied and fitted by Network Security.
